| Though
working with oils and acrylics on canvas, oil sheets
and boards is my absolute favourite, yet, I enjoy experimenting
with sand, paper-mache, pieces of cloth, news papers,
silver foil and any other material to create the required
texture
in a work of art.
Often I use pencils, crayons, inks and charcoal in my
works on paper or oil sheets. Hog and sable hair brushes
along with sprays', rollers' and palette knives are
just some of the paint application mediums. Many works
therefore, are in mixed mediums. For maintenance, I
store my paintings in a dry and dust free atmosphere,
mostly covered with cloth sheets. From time to time
I clean them with a dry brush. Some works can also be
varnished once they are completely dry.
I try to explore the expressive potential of any medium
but the emphasis is always on the qualities of solidity,
stability and durability. |
